It is time to summarize 2022; and it has been such a rollercoaster. We started the year as we ended it in 2021 with Covid-19 hanging after us. Different types of Covid-waves and restrictions resulted in many challenges, but eventually, this situation settled. Unfortunately, we headed directly from one crisis to another when Russia invaded Ukraine in February. This impacted the maritime industry significantly because it challenged energy, delivery, and the geopolitical situation.
22 cruise ships and over 32.000 passengers have visited Måløy during this year’s cruise season, which has been Måløy’s first season as a cruise harbor. The port authority at Måløy, Nordfjord Havn, calls this year’s cruise season a success and are very satisfied with how everything turned out.
