DanFish International is aimed at equipment suppliers to the fishing industry and was arranged for the first time in 1974. This year the exhibition gathered approximately 300 exhibitors from 30 countries and had a great number of relevant visitors.

– It was very nice to finally be able to travel and meet old contacts physically again. DanFish is a very relevant exhibition for us and with a decent size. Here we can find many decision makers from the maritime industry, said Per Jørgen Silden, chairman of the board at MMG and CEO of Skipskompetanse.

The companies from MMG that participated were Ulvesund Elektro, Ocean Electronics, Båtbygg, Stadyard, Verlo, Skipskompetanse, Naval Consult, Selstad, MHService, Fiskevegn, Havfront and Nordfjord Havn.

Måløy Maritime Group has attended DanFish before, but this is the first time CEO Miriam Edler has been in charge of organizing the entire exhibition for Måløy Maritime Group.
– I was hired as CEO of MMG in January 2020, only two months before the world shut down due to the corona restrictions. This is now my first exhibition that I organized, and it exceeded all expectations, especially when so many of our members were attending our stand together with MMG. I’ve seen companies meet their customers again and connect with new people, Edler said.

Jakob Hals at Fiskevegn sees the benefits of being part of Måløy Maritime Group.
– When we travel with such a large delegation, we are better equipped and visible than if we would have been having a stand on our own. We have had good strategic discussions with existing partners, and good meetings that form the basis for further work in different markets. All in all, this has been a great exhibition, Hals explained.

Måløy Maritime Group has gradually established itself with a good position with great visibility that makes people recognize us. Participating in this type of exhibition is useful to all of us.
