22 cruise ships and over 32.000 passengers have visited Måløy during this year’s cruise season, which has been Måløy’s first season as a cruise harbor. The port authority at Måløy, Nordfjord Havn, calls this year’s cruise season a success and are very satisfied with how everything turned out.
To sum it all up, the Port Director, Kjell Fagna, has one word: “Fantastic!”
He points out that the social- and business community in and around Måløy have seized the opportunity and embraced the venture this year.
popular excursions
Between the 32.655 guests who have visited Måløy during this year’s season are most of them British, but also many guests from Germany, Italy, Spain, USA and the Netherlands.
Amongst the guests, the excursion “Highlights of Måløy” has been the most popular, where you get a tour around the island visiting spots like Kannesteinen, Kråkenes lighthouse and the beach at Refvik.
Next year's plans are ready
– For next year, over 100.000 guests are planned to visit Måløy. Among the 30 port calls listed so far we can find Anthem of the Seas from Royal Caribbean, says assisting port director Sølve Oldeide.
